Position Description The Director of Volunteer Programs is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of the volunteer program as well as managing daily operations like assessing needs, crafting volunteer position descriptions, recruiting, interviewing, and screening, training, recognizing and evaluating volunteer resources and programs. Responsibilities also include overseeing the logistics of the volunteer program, tracking and record keeping of but not limited to such things as volunteer hours, retention and communication to volunteers and the public.
Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Public Relations, or a related field. Two (2) years experience in volunteer coordination and relations. Experience with nonprofit organizations preferred, but not required.
Background Check Requirements Must pass all criminal history background checks. Must have Texas driver’s license and provide Department of Public Safety proof of driving record acceptable to agency insurers for the past three (3) years. Must submit to pre-employment drug screen and TB test as well as random drug screens when directed.

This position may be full time salaried (40 or more hours per week) or part time hourly (approximately 32 hours per week). Responsibilities include, general ledger review and reconciliations, financial statement reporting, Grant and Contract budget review, billing state contracts for reimbursement and fees, assist VP Finance with audit schedules preparation, assist with maintaining effective accounting procedures and internal controls, other general accounting and reporting duties, ethical and professional conduct. Broad experience with and responsibility for accounting functions and financial reporting. Proven ability to solve problems and work in an organized, efficient, accurate and thorough manner. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and accounting best practices. High level of computer proficiency including Excel and other MS Office applications. The Event Coordinator is responsible for executing weddings and events per given event plans; supervising event staff; serving as customer service representative to clients throughout events; ensuring that chapel facility is appropriately prepared for events, adequately maintained during events and returned to acceptable conditions after events.
