Welcome April to the TNOYS team!

Please help us in welcoming April Ferrino to the TNOYS team. We are thrilled she has joined us as our new Senior Policy and Evaluation Specialist. In her new role, April will help lead our advocacy efforts, evaluate our initiatives, and work with our members across the state to strengthen their programs through evaluation and consultation.

April comes to TNOYS from the Legislative Budget Board where she spent 10 years as a policy analyst. During this time, many of her policy reports were the basis for enacted legislation, including legislation that improved employment screenings for persons working with vulnerable populations and enhanced access to health care benefits for veterans. April also published reports on health and human services initiatives, including Foster Care Redesign, while at the LBB. She has a master’s degree in Social Work from the university of Texas at Austin and has prior work experience in television, the Department of State Health Services, and at a residential treatment center.

We are lucky to have April as part of our team and excited to see the great work that she will be able to do in support of youth services this session. To learn more about our advocacy work and how you can become more involved, email April at aferrino@tnoys.org.
