TNOYS Provider Listening Sessions
Through funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Youth Homelessness Systems Improvement (YHSI), TNOYS is hosting a series of listening sessions for youth-serving professionals across the state. We want to hear your thoughts and reflections on how youth service providers in Texas engage youth in their services, and what providers and youth and young adults (YYA) need to do this effectively. We are particularly interested in understanding how providers engage, serve, and partner with YYA who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.
Join us in Austin in September for an opportunity to contribute to the conversation.

2026 CSE-IT User Trainings
The CSE-IT is a research-based screening tool that helps improve early identification of commercially sexually exploited youth (CSEY). The tool is appropriate for use by any provider serving youth, including child welfare workers, probation officers, mental health clinicians, and first responders. In Texas, CSE-IT is integrated within Lighthouse, an innovative software platform that enables users to complete screenings online and access and analyze CSE-IT data at any time. In this training, participants will become certified CSE-IT users and learn next steps to access and use the Lighthouse platform. Participants who complete the full training will earn 3.5 continuing education credit hours and a CSE-IT User Training certification.

Fall 2026 Member-Only Committee Meetings
TNOYS has finalized the dates for our Fall members-only committee meetings, and we invite professional members and staff at TNOYS member organizations to join. TNOYS facilitates three members-only committees that explore prevention and early intervention, systems change/ legislative issues, and strategies to support young people transitioning out of systems and into adulthood. If you are not yet a member of a TNOYS committee, we encourage you to register here.

Preventing Systems-Involvement Committee Meeting:

1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
This committee convenes members who provide preventative services, including prevention and early intervention programming, life-skills training and mentorship, health and mental health support, and more. Join us to explore best practices, share resources, and inform TNOYS programming related to prevention services. Stay tuned, as the meeting agenda will be available soon!
Transitional Services Committee Meeting:
Thursday, November 9
1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
This committee convenes members working to support youth transitioning out of systems and into adulthood. Committee members explore best practices, share resources, and inform TNOYS programming related to transition services. Stay tuned, as the meeting agenda will be available soon!
Save the Date: 2027 TNOYS Day of Action for Youth
TNOYS Day of Action for Youth (DAY), takes place on April 8th, 2027! This is a day-long, in-person event that brings together youth, young adults, and youth-serving providers at the Texas Capitol in Austin. Statewide Collaborative on Youth Homelessness
TNOYS’ Statewide Collaborative on Youth Homelessness (SCYH) is Texas’ only statewide committee focused on addressing homelessness among youth and young adults (YYA). Each quarter, the SCYH brings together state agency leaders, youth-serving providers, and other key stakeholders to share critical updates, discuss challenges, and collaborate on solutions to YYA homelessness.

Regional Capacity Building Session Series
Too often, young people impacted by homelessness slip through gaps in support when systems are not designed to meet their unique needs. Thanks to support from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), TNOYS is hosting events in communities across Texas to learn about needs on the ground and build capacity for stronger, more coordinated systems of care for young people experiencing or vulnerable to homelessness.
