Juvenile Justice Advocates

For the last year TNOYS has had the opportunity to work with an incredible team of young people who have been involved in the juvenile justice system but are turning their lives around and improving the system for other young people. The team, which team members refer to as the “Youth Research and Advocacy Committee” learned about advocacy and policymaking, identified aspects of the juvenile justice system that they would like to see change, conducted policy research on those issues, and developed recommendations for system reform.
