Youth in Action Capitol Day

Youth in Action is a TNOYS program that provides teens with opportunities to learn about the policy making process and discover how they can influence decision-makers. Every two years, youth groups come together at the State Capitol to participate in the legislative process. More than 300 youth and adults, representing cities and regions from across the state, typically participate in Youth in Action Capitol Day.
Opening remarks – 9:00am-9:30am
Youth Presentation Practice 9:30am-11:30am
Lunch provided from 12:00pm- 1:00pm (Served on a come as you go basis.)
Youth Legislative Office Visits 1:00pm-4:00pm
Closing Remarks and Snacks – 4:00pm-4:30pm
All youth are free for this event! We do ask that the adult chaperones pay a fee of $10 each, to cover the cost of food. More payment information can be found in your Registration packet.
